Meet newly married Jasen and Lisa!

Lisa contacted me about two weeks before her wedding. Plans changed with their previous photographer and they needed a photographer. As it turned out their wedding date was the ONLY day left in October that I was still available. It’s funny how things just work themselves out!
Lisa made for a beautiful bride.

This was my first wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden and it was beautiful!

Loving the blue sky.

Lisa and Jasen decided to see each other before the ceremony which allowed us to capture these pictures.

When I first met Lisa she brought sample pictures with her that were all about the details. I knew right away this was my kind of bride. The details and flowers for Lisa’s wedding were awesome! Update-flowers were done by Petal Pusher.

This is what the flower girl carried down the aisle. So cute!

More details!

The ceremony was right before sunset which I like to call the sweet light time.

Married!

While gathering everyone for a family picture I noticed Jasen’s grandparents in a cute little moment.

Here is Lisa and her two sisters who also served as bride’s maids.

A few more pictures before we headed off to the reception.

Their reception was at Coup des Tartes and the food and wine looked awesome!

Congrats Jasen and Lisa! Thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your day.

I have been such a bad blogger lately. We had a family wedding in which I attended as a guest, family (unrelated to the wedding) flew in from out of town and I am up to my eye balls in editing images and designing albums. I am totally not complaining, but just hoping that you stick with me while my blogging might be a little slooooooower then usual.
Anywho-here is a quick sneak peak from a recent wedding that took place at the Japanese Friendship Garden…one word….amazing!

I had the pleasure of shooting Michael and Kamaya’s wedding a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from the day. We started the day at Tempe Fiesta Inn Resort where the girls were getting ready.

If Kamaya was nervous you would have never known.

Love this next picture. Look for it on my website and blog banner very soon!

Kamaya’s mom fighting back the tears.

They had a Catholic Mass wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

They exited the church to a sword salute.

What I really loved about Michael and Kamaya is that they took time to soak in the day. Your wedding day goes by so fast it’s important to stop and remember the moment.

I also loved that they could pull off the dip like nobody’s business!

While taking some of the group shots the groomsmen wanted to do the jumping shot. Which looks like this:

But what I thought was even better was the shot right before I counted them in to jump. These guys were serious!

Michael and Kamaya’s first dance was incredibly sweet to watch as Michael softly sang in her ear the entire song.

But Michael wasn’t the only person to sing to her. Have you ever seen Top Gun? The scene where Goose and Tom Cruise sing, “You’ve lost that Love and Feeling”. Here was the live version!

They ended the night with a lot of dancing…

And a little birthday celebration for Michael’s grandfather.

Best wishes Michael and Kamaya and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your special day!

I didn’t post a Friday FAQ this week, but I have a good excuse. I was getting ready for Micheal and Kamaya’s wedding. I am downloading all of their images right now, but just couldn’t help posting a few right away!

Here is their entire wedding party!

More to come soon!

I had the pleasure of photographing Ben and Kristin’s wedding a couple of weeks ago.

Kristin was an absolutely stunning bride.

I love when my couples are super fun and super affectionate and these two were both. It always makes for great pictures.

I also love when the groom helps hold the dress for his bride. For some reason it just feels so gentlemen like and I love that.

These are a few candid shots of Ben and Kristin right after they arrived at the reception.

The father daughter dance is always an emotional moment. Kristin’s younger sister was especially emotional watching her big sister dance with her dad.

Like every good reception there were some tears, but mostly a lot of fun!

Congrats Ben and Kristin!
Here is a sneak peak from Ben and Kristin’s wedding this weekend.

Love this one of Kristin!

Meet Ben & Julie!

A couple of weeks ago I second shot for Marissa. I love when I have a chance to assist other photographers. It’s a great opportunity to learn from their unique style and plus it is super relaxing because I’m not in charge!
I wanted to share a couple of my favorite pictures from the day.
Julie’s dad was very emotional the entire day. This was a particularly sweet moment when he saw his daughter for the first time as a bride. It was very touching as Julie’s mom watched too.

Here are a couple of pictures after the ceremony.

We went back inside the church to cool off (since it was over 100 degrees that day) and had fun taking a couple of silhouette pictures.

A few reception details. Ben and Julie had a table with sparklers for their evening departure.

Here is their sparkler send off…very cool.

One last goodbye.

Meet Cale and Amanda married June 20, 2009.

Have you ever heard of the expression that it takes a village? Well it usually does to get a bride ready for the biggest day of her life and that village is usually the bridesmaids. Meet Amanda’s village. These girls were great!

A sweet picture during the ceremony from the junior bridesmaids perspective.

We are usually pressed for time taking pictures after the ceremony, so I love a bride that will run for good pictures!

You know I can’t have a wedding post without a ring picture…I think I might have a new favorite!

I love this picture of Amanda dancing with her dad. Notice that all of the junior attendants pulled their chairs up to the edge of the dance floor to watch. Just too cute.

Here are a few more of my favorite pictures from the day.

Best wishes Amanda and Cale.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Cale & Amanda’s wedding in Chandler.
I am still editing all of their images, but I wanted to give everyone a little sneak peak!

More to come soon!
On my last blog entry I left off at Paul and Sue’s ceremony. The ceremony and the reception were both held at the Fiesta Inn and Resort in Tempe.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from their ceremony.

Here is the entire bridal party having a little fun!

Although we did most of their pictures before the ceremony I was able to steal Sue and Paul away for a few more pictures after the ceremony. As we scouted out locations to snap some pictures, Paul did a great job of helping Sue with her dress. What a sweet guy!

We found this bench and a great door in the hallway of the main lobby.

We took these final few pictures before heading inside for the reception.

Check back soon as I will be posting the final pictures from their beautiful wedding and reception in my next post!
